Three methods: verbal (spoken/written), non-verbal (body language) and visual (charts, images).
Feedback is the receiver’s response. Good feedback is descriptive (describes what was done) and specific (clear and to the point), not vague.
Barriers include physical (noise, distance), language, emotional and cultural barriers.
Overcome them by using simple language, listening actively, choosing the right channel and giving feedback.
Effective communication follows the 7 C’s: Clear, Concise, Concrete, Correct, Coherent, Complete and Courteous.
Write in complete, correct sentences and organise ideas into clear paragraphs with one main idea each.
