1. Active listening

Active listening means fully concentrating on the speaker, understanding, and responding thoughtfully. Show it by making eye contact, not interrupting, nodding and asking questions.

2. Parts of speech

The eight parts of speech are noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction and interjection. Knowing them helps build correct sentences.

3. Writing sentences

A good sentence is complete, correct and clear, with a subject and a predicate. Avoid run-on sentences and check punctuation.
