Code 417, Class 10. Computer vision lets machines understand images. Here we learn how a computer sees a picture.
|
|
Computer Vision is the domain of AI that lets a machine understand images and video.
To a computer an image is a grid of tiny dots called pixels. Each pixel has a colour made of red, green and blue (RGB) values. A grayscale image uses shades of grey only.
The machine looks for features like edges and shapes. A Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a model that learns these features to recognise objects in images.
Computer vision is used for face unlock, self-driving cars, reading text from images, and checking products in factories.
