What this unit is about
A capstone project uses AI to solve a real problem. We plan it with design thinking, a method that starts from the needs of real people.
1. Design thinking and empathy
Design thinking begins with empathy, understanding the people you are solving for. An empathy map notes what they say, think, do and feel.
2. Defining the problem with 5W1H
The 5W1H method asks Who, What, When, Where, Why and How, to define the problem clearly before building a solution.
3. Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 global goals, such as no poverty and quality education. A good project helps meet one of these goals.
