Code 843, Class 11. NLP lets computers understand language. Here we learn how machines read text and how chatbots work.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) is the part of AI that helps computers understand and use human language, in text or speech.
To understand text, a machine first breaks it into words, a step called tokenisation. It then removes very common words and looks at the important ones to find the meaning.
NLP powers chatbots, voice assistants, translation, and spam filters. These read what you type or say and respond helpfully.
Human language is tricky: the same word can have different meanings, and tone and context matter. NLP keeps improving to handle this.
