Code 843, Class 11. Data is the fuel of AI. Here we learn to collect, describe and picture data.

What this unit is about
Data literacy is the ability to read, understand and use data. AI learns from data, so good data leads to good results.
1. Collecting and exploring data
Data can be collected by surveys, sensors or from records. Before using it, we explore it to check it is complete and correct.
2. Describing data
Simple statistics describe data: the mean (average), the median (middle value), the mode (most common), and the range (spread from lowest to highest).
3. Visualising and cleaning
A chart (using a library like Matplotlib) pictures data so patterns are clear. Data pre-processing cleans the data by filling gaps and fixing errors before it is used.
