Code 843, Class 12. Computer vision lets machines understand images. Here we learn how a computer sees a picture.
|
|
Computer Vision is the part of AI that lets a machine understand images and video, the way our eyes and brain do.
To a computer an image is a grid of tiny dots called pixels. Each pixel has a colour, made of red, green and blue (RGB) values. The computer reads these numbers to understand the picture.
The machine looks for features such as edges, shapes and patterns. A model called a neural network learns which features belong to which object.
Computer vision is used for face unlock, self-driving cars, reading text from images, and checking products in factories.
