What this unit is about
Orange is a visual (no-code) data mining tool. You build an AI workflow by joining blocks called widgets, without writing programs.
1. Widgets and workflows
A widget does one job, such as loading data, showing it, or training a model. You drag widgets onto a canvas and connect them into a workflow.
2. A simple workflow
A common workflow is: File (load data), then Data Table (view it), then a model like Tree or kNN, then Test and Score to see how well it works.
3. Why use Orange
Orange lets beginners try machine learning quickly and see results as pictures, which helps you understand the steps before writing code.
